'Charlie Beck'

Dishevelled frontman for a punk band in his mid 20s. He has recentlyjust finished a rehab program but refuses to change his habits andimmediately wants to go back to heroin. His demeanour and attitudeare sour and unpleasant stemming from severe lack and sleep and aneed to fulfil his addiction. He is disconnected from any conversationhe has and struggles to keep the relationships he already has. Seeinghimself as a burden to everyone around him, including his 18-month-old daughter, the only way he sees of solving all his loved one'sproblems is to kill himself.

'Bell Roberts'
Madeline Bowis
A punk rock girl in her mid-20s who has been in a relationship withCharlie for several years now. She has supported his music career andhas tried to support him through detoxing from heroin but has drugproblems of her own and finds it hard to stay sober when her partner isalways ready to relapse. However, her relationship with drugs is muchless severe as she wants to get sober for daughter. Her relationshipwith Charlie has become very strained due to his repeated refusal tostay sober for longer than a week.

'Dale Collins'
Chris Robinson
A 50-year-old taxi driver working a graveyard shift. Despite his shifthours not always allowing him to see his family as much as he wantsto, he keeps a positive attitude and enjoys getting to know thepassengers he gets in the taxi. He is a family man and enjoys a lot ofeasy listening music like country and folk.

'Pat Tyler'
Niamh Owen
A guitarist in Charlie’s band “rotten apple”. He matches Charlie in visual aesthetic, unkempt and grimy, but not in personality and demeanour. He is more optimistic and positive in his outlook of life,almost an opposite of Charlie in most aspects of their lives. He is trying to help Charlie overcome his addiction, often being around him andBell and every hour day and night. He opts to stay away from drugs,preferring to drink alcohol as he has seen how it has changed so many people around him in his life.
